Invisalign

.

Invisalign is the clear alternate to metal braces. Using a modern approach to straightening your teeth, a series of custom made plastic trays are made for you. The custom trays are made of clear and comfortable plastic that you wear over your teeth. The teeth are gradually shifted into place over the course of a few months, typically. There is virtually no discomfort while wearing these trays in comparison to the clunky, old metal brackets. Approximately every two weeks, a new set of trays will be given to you and your progress will be measured. Speaking, eating, flossing, and brushing are achieved with the greatest of ease and most people will have no idea that you are straightening your teeth! The best part about Invisalign compared to traditional braces, is that a custom made plan is made and can be viewed on a CAD/CAM model on a computer. This allows you to see how your perfect smile will look before treatment even starts!

After we make sure you are 100% satisfied with the way your smile will look on the computer, Invisalign will fabricate your first few set of trays and have them delivered to the office in a week or two. In some cases, small BPA free clear resin composite attachments will have to be placed on certain teeth to help them move into proper position. These will be invisible to the naked eye even after removing the trays for eating, brushing, and flossing. At the end of the treatment, these attachments are removed. A patient must wear the trays for 22 hours a day, taking them off only for eating, brushing, and flossing. Every patient is different, regarding the degree to which their teeth will need to be moved and the number of trays they will need.
